Our Services

1x Financial Plan Creation

We’re available to assist with all steps of the planning process from discovery calls, data gathering, data review & organization, data entry into your planning software, financial plan creation, “What-If” scenario analysis, designing & creating a deliverable, review calls with advisors, and plan presentation to the client.

You can tag us in or out as needed, offloading what you need. Typically advisors handle the discovery call, data gathering, and plan presentation steps - but we’re happy to assist whenever needed! Please note that investment advice would come from your firm.

The cost of this service is $160 per hour. Plans typically land around $2,000 (give or take) based on complexity, software choice, how complete and organized the data is, the parts you need help with, your desired output, and any specific requests you may have.

Tax Plan Creation

Our attorney & tax-strategist, Jacob Stewart, JD creates insightful tax plans for complex clients (such as a business owner with high income, real estate , and children).

Jacob will review your client’s personal and business tax returns, determine what strategies would be beneficial, then schedule a consultation call with your client. This call is the focus of this engagement and ensures your client knows what strategies we recommend (considering any risk, cost, & effort) and how to implement them. When needed, Jacob has helped coordinate plans with client’s tax preparers.

When this is done in conjunction with a financial plan, Jacob will coordinate with our planners to ensure the tax plan and financial plans are aligned. The cost of this service is $3,000. .

Software Support

We support all financial planning software and have experience in Right Capital, eMoney, Money Guide Pro, lncome Lab, Holistaplan and more. We maintain an in-house subscription to eMoney so you can simply share a client with us. Money Guide Pro & Right Capital make it very easy (as well as cheap or free) to set up a planner log-in for us.

This provides us with the access we need to create the plan, while allowing you to maintain ownership of the data and control future access.

Values-Based Financial Planning

Brody & Jason have served as the financial planning subject matter experts on a variety of teams that use Bill Bachrach’s Values-Based Planning & Financial Roadmap approach coupled with Mark Little’s Trusted Advisor Toolkit™. If you’re a Trusted Advisor in need of a Financial Planning Subject Matter Expert who is familiar with the reports and system - let’s schedule a time to talk. I’ll be glad to provide samples of progress reports and critical reports as I’ve put my own spin on them based upon advisor/client feedback and data visualization techniques.

The cost for this service is $6,000 per year per client for financial planning only or $9,900 per year for financial planning, tax, estate, and life, long-term care, and disability insurance (Jacob covering the Tax & Estate roles & Bart covering insurance).

Independent Insurance Reviews

Our Chartered Life Underwriter and independent insurance expert, Bart Snyder, CLU can be engaged to deep dive into your client’s life, long-term care, and disability insurance needs.

This engagement includes policy reviews, summarizing current coverage in a one-page Insurance Grid, coordinating with the financial planner to determine the client’s risks & optimal coverage, then shopping for the best providers. Once complete, Bart will schedule a call with your client to discuss our findings.

While not required or pushed, Bart is available to help implement the plan and acquire policies. The cost of this service is $1,000 and is best suited for clients that have complex policies they want to understand, need help unwinding life insurance policies, and/or are seeking to better understand the complexities of hybrid long-term care policies.

Odd Jobs

  • Software to software transfers

  • Custom spreadsheet builds

  • Pure data entry

  • A second set of eyes to error hunt and give feedback on an existing plan

  • Limited scope projects such as social security timing, pension lump sum vs annuity analysis, creating a college savings plan, a house purchase analysis, and more can be provided.

No job is too big or too small.

Mini Virtual Family Office

Complex, motivated, or high net worth clients often benefit from deeper services, so we’ve created an offering in which you’ll be provided with a full team of specialists including a financial planner(s), our tax strategist + estate attorney (Jacob), and insurance expert (Bart).

Our team will coordinate to create a plan that is comprehensive, written, & actionable to help get your client’s financial house in order. Once complete, we’ll host a collaborative meeting with you and our team to ensure you have a 10 out of 10 level of confidence in the plan. We will be available for the plan presentation and breakout meetings as needed (for example, a focused insurance or estate plan review session).

Being able to provide this level of service can make your clients stickier, really “wow” them, solidify your role as their go-to person, & may even help you close a prospect.

The cost for this service is $7,000.

Financial Therapy

Our planner Jason Floyd, CFP®, CFT, MSFP has a certification in financial therapy which gives him an understanding of the human and emotional side of financial planning which has helped inform some of our planning recommendations and how we frame them.

As a college instructor Jason is a great communicator. This service can be used for client’s children as well, helping them navigate the financial complexities of marriage or coming into wealth. The cost of this service is $160 per hour.

Independent Estate Plan Reviews

Our attorney & tax-strategist, Jacob Stewart, JD is a managing attorney and partner of a nationwide law firm that specializes in estate planning. He is available to review your clients estate documents then create an easy to read, one page, Legacy Flow report, an Asset Titling report to outline current and recommended asset ownership, and provide a list of recommendations.

This work being done by an excellent Estate Attorney (as opposed to a financial planner or money manager putting on their “estate planning hat”) can add significant value!

The cost this service is $1,200. If afterwards, clients wish to use Jacob’s firm to implement their legal work, they would receive a 25% discount on the legal work. This is not required or pushed and would be a separate engagement not involving Foundation Financial Planning (we receive no financial benefit from this).
