The Essential Financial Plan is a streamlined, standardized, fixed-fee engagement designed for mass-affluent clients who want a clear picture of their financial health - without the time and cost of a full planning engagement.
Built on a structured, repeatable process, it delivers professional-grade guidance across the areas that matter most. You complete a simple fact finder with your client, provide it to us, and we’ll promptly generate a plan. This is an excellent way to extend planning services to a broader segment of your book, and a natural on-ramp for clients who eventually need a full custom plan.
Most clients in a typical advisor’s book will never get a financial plan - not because they don’t need one, but because the economics don’t work. The Essential Financial Plan changes that. By standardizing our process around the fundamentals every client needs we can deliver real planning value at an accessible price. It’s not a lesser plan. It’s a different product, built for a different problem.
One added benefit: by keeping things simple, we can generate a plan without collecting sensitive non-public personal information, reducing the data-handling burden for your firm and greatly speeding up turnaround time.

Plans are run through our proprietary Excel-based “Leviathan Model” which massively reduces data entry time. This is a robust model that relies on market data going back to 1928 (and the information you provide on the fact finder) to concisely illustrate the lifetime portfolio trajectory, retirement cash flow, 1,000 Monte Carlo simulations, real-world historical return sequences, and withdrawal rate analysis. lt uses a conservative ordinary income tax assumption across all retirement income sources and is not designed for detailed Roth conversion or drawdown sequencing analysis.
A completed fact finder is required. This is meant to eliminate costs related to low value data processing.
We do not provide a custom written executive summary.
No custom scenarios are provided.
We are happy to tweak the template a bit with you first if you’re planning on doing volume and want things a particular way (maybe change the title, cover page, remove or add some content, etc.).
No review calls are included.
Actions are written as "best practices" instead of plan specific. For example, it may say: “Review your homeowner’s policy to target x” instead of “We reviewed your homeowner’s policy and recommend you increase your liability coverage to y”.
